Why a circular Hunter?

Hunter Central Coast Circular Economy Roadmap

Becoming a circular region will require systematic transformation and include engagement and action from all stakeholder groups in the local ecosystem. The Hunter and Central Coast Circular Economy Roadmap showcases our successes to date, and our ambition to become Australia’s leading regional circular economy.

Our Roadmap is designed as a collaboration tool, to work as a living document that collates and helps prioritise the strategic opportunities of circular economy initiatives in the region.

The Roadmap is also an awareness tool, with the aim of raising the profile of circular economy initiatives and building engagement across the region’s ecosystem.

The Circular Economy Facilitators Group (CEFG) meet quarterly to discuss opportunities and prioritise initiatives with the most collaboration potential. The Roadmap is then updated quarterly.

Circular Directory

Our Circular Directory is a database of local circular economy businesses, groups and other organisations that make up a key part of our ecosystem. This is continually growing and changing as the region progresses along its circularity journey.

The purpose of this database is to connect different elements of the region’s circular ecosystem together and enable collaboration.

Head to our directory to explore the circular ecosystem, find out what’s happening across the region, and add your initiative or organisation to our directory.
